Delta Force has eight Operators, and players need to jump some hoops to unlock them all.
The Delta Force franchise is one of the more overlooked first-person tactical shooters of the late 90s. Although it never quite reached the cultural reach of Counter-Strike, Delta Force proved successful enough for annual releases throughout the 2000s. Things suddenly went silent for the franchise in 2009 before an official reboot in 2024. Despite some stumbles in the Open beta, Delta Force looks to be a contender in the tactical shooter space.
In Delta Force, players can access four default Operators, one for each class type: Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon. Understanding these classes is key to mastering Operations in Delta Force. Interestingly, each class also has a variant that can be unlocked, granting the player different skills and abilities from the original. Players must fulfill certain requirements for each class to unlock these special variants.
All four additional Operators available at launch can be unlocked via a limited-time special event or the seasonal pass. While the base Operators are solid enough, the variants give players some variety in how they play the game.
Vyron can be unlocked from the Recruit Check-In event. New players unlock a new reward, and Vyron can be unlocked from the event page on the third day. Vyron utilizes a special ability called the QLL32 Crouching Tiger that fires a compressed air round that knocks down nearby enemies. He also has several movement-based abilities that make him tough to pin down in a firefight.
Hackclaw can be unlocked from the Operator Hackclaw event, which runs until January 16, 2025. Players can claim milestones by killing enemies in Warfare or surviving in Operations. Claiming these milestones rewards 100 tokens each, and Hackclaw can be unlocked with 500 tokens. Hackclaw has a movement scanner, a flash drone, and a device-disabling data knife, and can move quickly while crouching. This Operator’s kit makes him a great choice for players who value versatility on the battlefield.
Toxik can be unlocked for free from the Genesis season pass at level 15. Players earn season pass progress by playing and completing any kind of match, though it can be earned more quickly by completing Operations missions. The current season ends on January 14, 2025. Toxik can send a swarm of UAVs that buffs allies and impairs enemies, making them the perfect backline support.
Although currently not available, Uluru will become available in a future event. Uluru will reportedly deploy cover, throw an incendiary grenade, and fire “image-guided loitering munition.” Uluru looks to be an unorthodox damage dealer for the squad with some solid survivability. While Uluru still isn’t available, the other three unlockable Delta Force operators can be unlocked quickly through Warfare matches and Operations missions.
