If you’re tired of dying to Jett’s knives or yet another teammate going off the rails just because you looked at them, it may be time to uninstall Valorant.
Riot Games’ free-to-play first-person shooter is very popular among PC gamers. It’s straightforward to get into due to its low cost of entry and friendly tutorials. However, when it comes to uninstalling Valorant, the process is not as streamlined as the game’s gameplay. Valorant requires a couple of steps to completely delete from a system. These steps are absent from Riot Game’s other famous title, League of Legends.
The extra steps are because of another piece of software players have to install before playing Valorant, Vanguard. Vanguard is Riot’s anti-cheat software, which prevents the game from being tampered with and includes uninstallation as well.
Make sure to quit the Riot client and uninstall Vanguard before uninstalling Valorant. The Riot launcher doesn’t offer any options to uninstall Valorant, so players must use manual operating system features to do so. Need to uninstall League of Legends as well? Check out the guide for that.
