How to make a deal with Mephisto in Fortnite

Mephisto is making his Fortnite debut with a number of deals on offer, as long players are willing to pay the price.

Some Marvel fans may recognize Mephisto as a supervillain from the Fantastic Four series. He ties into Chapter 5 Season 4 especially given his connection with Doctor Doom. However, as far as players know now, he’s after something else. Mephisto is very generously offering in-game rewards to players who seek him out. This is especially true for players who are willing to trade more than just gold.

Given that one of the missions in the Nitemare Three questline is to make a deal with Mephisto, players have an extra incentive to seek the demon out in Fortnite.

Where to find Mephisto in Fortnite

Players can find Mephisto in The Underworld region of the Fortnite map.

The Underworld is in the upper left corner of the current Fortnite island. Players can access it either by jumping directly from the battle bus or trekking across the island during the game. Although his exact location changes, players can find it by enabling the Fortnitemares quests. Mephisto will be sitting on a throne at the end of a large corridor filled with statues.

Stay ware, as other players will likely aim to make a deal with Mephisto as well. This provides a prime opportunity to snipe an opponent or be sniped. Players should keep a keen eye open for any would-be attackers as they beseech the demon.

How to make a deal with Mephisto

Rather than trade gold bars, players can make a deal with Mephisto to exchange some of their health for one of two gifts.

The demonic supervillain is unlike other Fortnite NPCs in that he doesn’t accept gold bars as payment. Instead, Fortnite’s Mephisto is willing to make a deal by accepting life force in exchange for a boon.

First, players can invoke Mephisto’s Gift and trade 20 HP for a random weapon. Also unlike other NPCs, players cannot share more HP for a higher quality item. While the weapon could be legendary or mythic, it’s just as likely to be common. Mephisto is kindly willing to make this deal up to ten times in a single match.

Mephisto’s Bargain offers greater rewards at a significantly higher price. For those playing in a party, they can trade 99 HP for the revival of all of their party members. Typically, players should only take the deal when they’re the last one standing.

Mephisto’s deals in Fortnite are both drastic and unique among bargains to be made with NPCs. Any players seeking out the demon should be careful to hold onto their souls while they’re at it.
