Many aspire to become vtubers, and Ironmouse is more than willing to help fans achieve those dreams with her very own Vtuber Academy.
Ironmouse is one of the most successful Vtubers on Twitch. In 2022, Ironmouse even got the title of the most subscribed female streamer on the platform. Currently, she boasts over 2 million Twitch followers. Ironmouse flourished as an independent vtuber until she became a founding member of the vtuber agency VShojo in 2020. With seven years of experience in the industry, few vtubers have Ironmouse’s experience and popularity, especially separate from companies like Nijisanji and Hololive.
Now, she wants to give others the chance to become vtubers as well, albeit in an entertaining fashion.
Ironmouse’s Vtuber Academy is a multi-day event organized by Ironmouse wherein streamers compete in various vtuber challenges.
In essence, this is the vtuber equivalent of The X Factor, though with a lot more gremlin energy than its inspiration. Existing vtubers cannot participate in the event. Only “flesh-streamers” are allowed to join.
The winner of the event will receive a custom vtuber model, fully paid for by Ironmouse. For context, the average professional vtuber model, complete with rigging and animation, costs between $1,000 to $5,000. Ironmouse has not revealed who will create the model, but given her connections, it’s likely to be on the higher end of the scale.
Aspiring talents can get a chance to join the Ironmouse Vtuber Academy event via Google Forms. The deadline to enter is August 14th at 12 pm PT.
Potential competitors can access the form here. To be eligible for the event, the player needs to be a Twitch partner and have no history of being a vtuber even if they only use a static image. Chosen participants will be reached out to after the deadline. The Ironmouse Vtuber Academy event will be held in September 2024. Twitch competitions are always a fun time, and with the chaotic nature of Ironmouse and her assistant Ross “RubberRoss” O’Donovan, it will be memorable. For fans looking to follow their idol Ironmouse, there’s no better time to join than right now.
