Valorant players on Xbox are running into an error where the game is not launching, but we have an easy fix.
On August 2, 2024, Valorant officially launched on Xbox Series and PS5, allowing console players to jump into the toon-shaded world of Riot’s shooter. Since the release, Riot has eventually added all features available in Valorant PC, and some more. Giving it the same treatment as its PC counterpart, Riot has also delivered quick fixes for bugs. However, a new error has lasted long enough that players aren’t sure what to do.
Valorant isn’t launching for players on Xbox, and while Riot fixes it for good, it has recommended a temporary fix that some players may not like.
On September 8, players reported an issue preventing them from launching Valorant, and it was later discovered that Roblox was also affected by the same problem on Xbox. According to Xbox support, the issue was remedied on September 9, but most players are still struggling to play Valorant.
According to the official Valorant page, players can temporarily fix this issue by uninstalling Valorant and then reinstalling it. Players who tried this fix could easily launch Valorant on Xbox. While it’s certainly not the ideal solution, this is currently the only way to play the game while Xbox finds a permanent solution.
Here’s how to quickly uninstall Valorant and then reinstall it to fix the error on Xbox.
To reinstall Valorant, do the following steps.
Following these steps should fix the error until Riot rolls out a solution that doesn’t require uninstalling the game.
