Kids everywhere want to play Fortnite, but now Epic Games had added a new feature where a time limit can be enabled by parents.
To help limit its game’s popularity, developer Epic Games added a new time limit feature to Fortnite’s parental controls on October 1, 2024. The feature will help guardians and parents manage and see how much time their child is spending on Fortnite. Parents will see an option to set up limits for a child’s account when accessing the parental control section within the Fortnite main menu, or by checking Epic’s account portal on mobile or web browser. When a parent chooses to enable this feature, they have access to a few features to curb their child’s enthusiasm.
The Fortnite time limit feature will be something guardians and parents will want to use.
Here’s how to enable the new time limit feature in Fortnite.
Parents can set a time for when the game will shut down, making it a useful system to be used on school nights. The time limit can also be extended for weekends. During the last 30 minutes of playtime, the game will display a notification listing the time remaining. Once the notification appears, the child can either request more time to play or have a parent manually add more. After the time runs out, the child will not be able to play Fortnite, browse the skin store, or play spinoff games.
