Riot Games has shared the total money earned by VCT teams from capsules and the Valorant Champions skins bundle, and it’s way higher than most fans expected.
The Valorant Champions 2024 skins were leaked before the official reveal but the Valorant Champions 2024 bundle was unknown. Following the tradition Riot Games established in 2021 they released the Champions bundle on August 1, 2024. Additionally, they surprised fans by adding the new VCT team capsules for the Valorant Champions 2024. Valorant Champions 2024 will end on August 25, 2024, and Riot Games has shared the total contributions to teams from the team capsules and Champions bundle.
With the money raised well within the eight-figure range, Riot will surely bring VCT Championship bundle skins back in the future.
Valorant teams raised over $35 million for VCT teams through the combined sales of VCT capsules and Valorant Champions skins, with half the money going to teams.
The Valorant Champions Tour account made a post on X to announce that the total amount earned by the teams participating is over $35 million. This is a substantial amount and is a great incentive for the players and teams. Riot Games has announced that each team will receive a 50% share from the sale of the VCT team capsules. In the announcement, Riot Games stated that the team capsules are a way for players to support their favorite team and players. The more people buy the team capsules of a team, the more money they will earn.
The monetary incentive is substantial,and players try to promote their VCT skins team capsules so that fans will purchase them. For instance, Sentinels used banners to promote their bundle and attract fans. Riot stated on August 6, 2024, that the Sentinels bundle was the most-sold VCT team capsule in North America since it was released. Fans can still support their favorite players and teams as the Valorant Champions bundle will remain in the game store until August 29, 2024. The VCT team capsules will stay in the game store until September 12, 2024.
