If you’ve seen the hundreds of players rocking different aesthetics and looks, you may have wondered: How many skins are in Fortnite? Every single season introduces several outfits by way of the battle pass, and there are not all that many Item Shop rotations that don’t introduce a new skin. After roughly seven years of this game being relevant, there are tons of skins. Players who’ve been around since way back when have countless, even if they haven’t picked up everything or had every battle pass.
So, how many skins are there in Fortnite exactly?

On August 28, 2025, there were 2,407 skins available in Fortnite. You can check this to the day with a handy tool at FNBR.co. New skins get added pretty frequently, so the number is constantly changing, but Epic Games is nearing an improbable 2,500 number. When the next Fortnite season arrives, that number will jump significantly.
This has been aided by the consistent onslaught of collaborations. Long ago, there were only original Fortnite skins. And if that were still the case, you could safely assume that the number of total Fortnite skins would be much, much fewer than 2,407. We wouldn’t have any of the following if that were the case:
The list goes on seemingly forever, as there are tons of collabs in the game now. Those make up a major chunk of the total skins in the game. The original skins, like Omega, Polar Patroller, Peely, Toona Fish, Bunker Jonesy, Cube Queen, Meowscles, Midas, Ragnarok, Carbide, Black Knight, Renegade Raider, Drift, and The Foundation, are still substantial. They just seem to pale in comparison.
There are even some interesting crossovers between original skins and collaborations that make up the nearly 2,500 total. Cuddlepool, Britestar, P-1000, and Sabretooth Meowscles are a few examples of this. There are even some skins that exist from other media that are a crossover between Fortnite and something, usually comics. Batman Zero, Spider-Man Zero, and Wolverine Zero are some examples from the actual Fortnite x Marvel comic run.

The biggest driver of new outfits is the battle pass. Every season, there’s a new one with multiple skins. This is now true of every OG season, too. Festival mode introduces a skin as well. Whenever something new happens, there is a boatload of new Fortnite skins. How many?
Typically, the number is seven or eight per battle pass. Most of the time, there are a set number of pages, and the skins make up the final rewards on said pages. There are also unlockable styles for those skins on some pages, so a 14-page battle pass doesn’t actually include 14 skins. There’s also the “secret skin,” which is no longer really a secret and just a midseason unlock. This also adds to the total, one that is growing all the time. With how often there are seasons and collaborations, there’s no end in sight to the number of skins available.
