How Kick will pay you to watch streams with Kick Currency

Kick streaming

The controversial streaming platform Kick is reportedly working on a new feature called Kick Currency, which, according to Adin Ross, will pay viewers to watch.d

Kick is relatively new compared to other streaming platforms but it’s trying to become a known name. The platform has signed many popular streamers such as Adin Ross and Amouranth. In addition, Kick has fewer strict rules than other platforms such as Twitch. However, Kick’s quest for the top can backfire. The platform is entangled in many controversies due to its lax rules and streamers’ actions. These things are off-putting for both recruiting new talent and attracting viewers. However, it looks like Kick has thought of something new to bring in more eyes for their streamers.

According to reports, the streaming platform will pay its viewers Kick Currency to watch streamers.

What is Kick Currency?

Popular streamer Adin Ross stated in a stream that Kick Currency is a monetary incentive for fans to watch Kick streamers.

Adin Ross stated that Kick is working on a feature that people can use to earn money for watching streamers. The streamer elaborated that Kick Currency can be cashed out in real life and viewers will get real money that they can use. However, Adin stated that not everyone will be paid to watch.

Adin Ross Kick Currency

The streamer explained that if he were to give a viewer Kick Currency, the viewer could cash it out. The viewer would then get the money in real life. He further stated that Kick’s Currency is similar to Twitch Bits, which viewers use to gift money to streamers.

Twitch Bits are purchased from Twitch and viewers then gift them to streamers.  However, Kick Currency will be for viewers instead of streamers. Adin Ross’ explanation of the upcoming currency seems to insinuate that it’s a reward that streamers will be able to give to their viewers.

This is an interesting way for Kick to try to attract viewers, but its success depends on how it works when it’s released. However, there is no official confirmation by the streaming platform, and Adin hasn’t given a launch date.
