Honkai: Star Rail Yunli’s release date, banner start and end dates

Yunli is the newest character for Honkai: Star Rail, and her release date will be a major celebration for players who have saved up enough stellar jade.

The sci-fi fantasy space opera Honkai: Star Rail has attracted millions of players and will attract many more for years to come.  Much like its sister game, Genshin Impact, much of Honkai: Star Rail’s success comes from the release of new characters at a regular rate. Honkai: Star Rail already has over 50 playable characters, and the latest arrives in the form of Yunli. A sword hunter from the Xianzhou Zhuming, she is the daughter of the “Flaming Heart,” general Huaiyan.

Although her personality is blunt, her blades are anything but, and she’s widely considered the second-youngest prodigy of the Flamewheel Octet.

When is the release date for Yunli’s banner in Honkai: Star Rail?

The release date for Yunli will launch for Honkai: Star Rail on July 31, 2024.

She was initially revealed in June 2024 as the next character for Honkai: Star Rail. Yunli’s combat path is destruction and a combat type of physical, as befits her sword master status. As usual, the new character has a 5-star rarity, and many players will want the character. Fans also pointed out that her style seems similar to Clara’s. Some Clara mains worry Yunli will replace the character’s role in some strategies, though diehard Clara mains wouldn’t dream of swapping her out.

As with any banner, hopeful players should have plenty of stellar jade saves up before attempting the Yunli banner. The best strategy is always to save money for banners on new characters instead of hoping for a rerun on a future banner. While her return is guaranteed, it could take several months if not a year before Yunli comes back to the game.

When will Yunli’s banner end date in Honkai: Star Rail?

The end date of Yunli’s banner will be August 21, 2024, in Honkai: Star Rail.

As with most 5-star character events, the banner will last for three weeks. While it’s likely her banner will return at some point, now is the best time to gun for the character.  As with any 5-star banner, the chances for the first pull being Yunli is 50%. If players do not get Yunli on the first 5-star pull, the next 5-star character is guaranteed to be Yunli. It’s best to get started on rolling for Yunli the moment she drops for Honkai: Star Rail.
