Hololive’s IRyS gets a new model, here’s what it looks like

IRyS has debuted a new model and fans are wondering whether Hololive is be making the vtuber’s unit’s theme harmonized, as she’s now the second member to don a fresh maid outfit.

IRyS is an English-speaking female vtuber affiliated with the popular Hololive agency. She debuted as a vsinger in 2021 as part of Hololive English’s Project: HOPE. The vsinger gained fame quickly and in 2023, she transitioned to Hololive’s Promise. The unit had other vtubers including Ceres Fauna, Hakos Baelz, Nanashi Mumei, and Ouro Kronii.

Some members of the Promise unit have left Hololive since then. But IRyS is still a part of the agency, and in 2024 she stated that she had no intentions of leaving. In June 2025, fans were notified that the vtuber would be making an announcement and many viewers were worried she might be graduating, but IRyS’ announcement was much more positive, as the vsinger announced she would soon debut a new model.

IRyS debuts a new maid model

On June 8, Hololive vtuber IRyS debuted a new model that wears a maid outfit and matches the apparent new theme of her unit.

IRyS’ model debut stream’s duration was longer than usual, reaching nearly four hours, but some viewers stated it had been advertised as a livestream so it wasn’t surprising. The vtuber’s announcement tweet did hint at how she’d look but the silhouette didn’t completely give away the surprise. She showed off some fans’ predictions when the stream began and revealed her new look shortly after.

IRyS’ new model wears a black-and-white frilly maid uniform. The outfit comprises a short skirt, long sleeves, leggings with suspenders, and black boots. The vtuber’s trademark hair is still the same red-purple blend but she wears a black-and-white headband that complements the maid look. Her hair is also accessorized with a red rose, a common element as her outfit makes extensive use of roses.

While the vsinger’s standard outfit is black and white, she also displayed alternatives she could use with her new model. One changes the black shade of her skirt and headband to a mesmerizing emerald green. Another keeps the black-and-white contrast but makes the skirt completely black while adding a white shade to the sleeves. The vtuber also showed that she could change her hair to be styled longer and remove the headband. Finally, IRyS displayed an outfit comprising a low-cut shirt with long flowing sleeves and a black skirt.

IRyS is the second member of Hololive’s promise to debut a maid model, with Ouro Kronii, having been the first to get a similar themed outfit. Kronii, IRyS, and Baelz are the only remaining members of Hololive’s Promise now that Ceres Fauna and Nanashi Mumei have graduated. Viewers have begun to speculate that Hololive may be making the Promise unit entirely maid-themed, and this latest reveal speaks further to that possibility.
