Hanwha Life Esports will get another shot to defeat T1 at the 2025 LCK’s third round, but will HLE prove able to change anything after last time’s dramatic defeat?

Hanwha Life Esports may be ranking second in its group, but the team recently lost to both Gen.G and T1 without winning a single game between the two matches. T1 now stands in its way, and while both teams are coming off fresh winning streaks, T1 may have established a decided mental advantage over HLE.
Esports betting tip: HLE is in a rough spot when facing Gen.G and T1, but the team has showcased the skills to at least win one map before losing the match here.
My HLE vs T1 pick: Total maps over 2.5 at 1.92 odds at GG.BET.
Many fans have called out HLE’s mid-laner Zeka for throwing the second game in this split’s first match between HLE and T1, but they forget a crucial fact. T1 already had a 7,000 gold lead and possessed the Infernal Soul point by the time Zeka tripped up. So while the mid laner did make some questionable decisions at the end of the game, he was also the only one to clearly win his lane and get fed enough to deal proper damage to that point.
Hanwha Life Esports primarily suffers thanks to the team’s jungler. Like in the last match, there’s a good chance that Peanut will either remain too passive or will gank at the wrong time, giving T1 an advantage in objective acquisition. Viper is an excellent ADC and can win against T1’s Gumayusi in the laning phase, but a subpar support and jungler pairing will likely hold the player back from snowballing. Zeus and Doran have proven themselves to be on the same playing field in the top lane, just as Faker and Zeka generally have in the mid lane.
T1’s ADC Gumayusi has seen the most improvement among his teammates in this split. With T1 finally playing around its powerhouse bot laner, Guma can carry more consistently, giving T1 a strong advantage in the middle and late game. T1 support Keria may unnecessarily initiate when his team is in the lead, but as long as Oner can continue to support his team with proper objective acquisition from the jungle, T1 will likely walk away with yet another win here.

Hanwha Life Esports continues to disappoint fans with its performance as the year goes on. This includes not qualifying for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational, its struggles in the 2025 Esports World Cup, and overwhelmingly losing to both Gen.G and T1 in the current 2025 LCK split. While Zeus, Zeka, and Viper will likely give T1 some difficulty in the upcoming match, T1’s new strategy of ensuring that Gumayusi can get fed enough to decimate in the late-game stages may give it an edge for a victory in three maps.
Our HLE vs T1 prediction: T1 as the match winner 2-1 @ 1.5 odds at GG.BET.
