Hex Haywire announces graduation from Nijisanji’s XSOLEIL, here’s why

English vtuber Hex Haywire has announced his graduation from Nijisanji while giving fans more insight into the why behind his decision during a live stream.

The Nijisanji EN project is a prevalent group of English-speaking vtubers managed by Anycolor Inc. With numerous creators in its lineup, the group has an immense fan following from various niches. It recently announced the graduation of XSOLEIL member Hex Haywire, and the creator expanded on his decision to leave the company in a live stream on his channel.

Hex Haywire’s time with Nijisanji might be nearing its end, but fans still have some time to send fan letters to their favorite creator.

When is Hex Haywire graduating?

Hex Haywire is graduating from Nijisanji EN on August 23, 2024, although the company will continue to accept fan letters until September 23, 2024.

Anycolor’s X post announcing the vtuber’s graduation didn’t expand on why the the creator was leaving. Instead, it spoke positively about Hex Haywire, mentioning his “soothing voice and never-fading humor.” The post also specifically stated the company would continue activities with fellow XSOLEIL creators Ver Vermillion, Meloco Kyoran, Doppio Dropscythe, and Kotoka Torahime.

Fortunately, fans got more details when Hex Haywire went live on his YouTube channel. The creator spoke about how he thought of parting with the group as far back as December 2023, which is surprising to many fans given that he only joined Nijisanji in December 2022. Hex finalized his decision in February 2024, citing the main reason as “artistic differences.”

It seems there’s seeming no animosity between Hex Haywire and the many current Nijisanji members. Continuing members including Ver Vermillion, Uki Violeta, Reimu Endou, and Doppio Dropscythe reacted to Hex Haywire’s tweet announcing his graduation with sadness at the situation.

Is XSOLEIL getting disbanded?

Hex Haywire’s graduation announcement tweet specifically stated that XSOLEIL would continue to pursue activities with its current members.

However, things aren’t too bright for the vtuber group. The post might have mentioned Kotoka Torahime, but the creator hasn’t gone live on her channel for nearly six months. The group lost another one of its members when Zaion LanZa was terminated by Nijisanji in early 2023.

Hex Haywire’s graduation will leave Doppio Dropscythe, Meloco Kyoran, Kotoka Torahime, and Ver Vermillion as the only remaining members of the group. While Hex cited artistic differences as his main reason for leaving the group, it’s unknown if other members have the same issue.

The second half of 2024 kicked off with multiple vtuber graduations. The most surprising was the announcement that Minato Aqua of Hololive was graduating. In a time when any vtuber could suddenly announce their departure from their group, it’s unknown who’ll be the next to part with their agency.
