The BLAST Austin Major is fast approaching but for active Counter-Strike 2 skin traders, it’s worth scouting which Souvenir Packages are worth getting during with the viewer pass.
For many players, the biggest Counter-Strike tournament of 2025 has already begun. That’s because the sticker capsules and viewer pass have already landed in the Counter-Strike 2 client. This allows spendthrift fans to break out their wallet and start looking for some of the priciest items in the game.
While most want to avoid buying into stickers early, players are generally forced to pounce on souvenir packages. So which BLAST Austin Major souvenir packages are actually worth getting?
Dust 2 Souvenir Packages are likely to be the best to get in the BLAST Austin Major, followed by Anubis and Inferno.
In terms of pricing, there’s a defined tiering to the prices of Perfect World Shanghai Major souvenir packages. Dust 2 packages are the most valuable, while Anubis and Inferno are about equal with each other. Mirage is next and from there, it’s Vertigo, Ancient, and Nuke.
Dust 2 packages were not available for the PGL Copenhagen Major. For this major, Vertigo souvenir packages are the most expensive with Anubis and Mirage being similarly priced. There’s a drop from there for Ancient and Inferno, and then a steeper drop to Nuke. Overpass is the lowest-priced from the 2024 Copenhagen Major.
As of this writing, Shanghai’s Dust 2 souvenir packages are the most expensive available from either major. Inferno and Anubis are both solid options and commanded relatively high price tags across both events.
The Dust 2 set’s Gold Arabesque AK-47 will likely make it the best souvenir package to get at the BLAST Austin Major. That skin is very expensive relative to all the other options available in souvenir packages, likely pushing its price tag higher.
The X-factor in all this is the new souvenir package that will arrive for the BLAST Austin Major. Overpass was dropped from the competitive rotation after Copenhagen in favor of Dust 2, while Vertigo was dropped after Shanghai. This marked the return of Train to the competitive rotation.
Train souvenir packages likely won’t be the best ones to get during the BLAST Austin Major.
The big pull from the 2025 Train skin collection is the Longdog AWP, which is the only covert-rarity item in the set. While the skin has a relatively high price tag, running as high as roughly $800 USD as of this writing. That’s nothing next to the Gold Arabesque AK-47, which starts at well over $1,000 for a battle-scarred quality.
Because of that, the Dust 2 souvenir packages will likely command the highest price tag of the tournament.
There could be a curveball thrown in terms of which teams play on those particular maps. The Dragon Lore AWP that famously auctioned for over $60,000 in 2018 had its price driven up in part due to the fact it had stickers for two popular teams in G2 Esports and Cloud9 and a sticker for a popular player in Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham. If the right combinations of teams come together in the BLAST Austin Major and play a map on Train, it could result in some pricy souvenir packages. Odds are that Dust 2 will reign supreme, though.
