Heccu: “The talent working in CSGO is amazing”

Heccu

Anastasija “Heccu” Tolmačeva sat down for an interview with Jaxon.

Heccu speaks about her humble beginnings in esports, transitioning from Heroes of the Storm to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and trying to find her place in the scene.

She also praises the talents working in the scene and appreciates their camaraderie and helpful nature.

She believes there is no ego between the CSGO talents compared to a few other gaming titles in esports.

Making her presence felt in CSGO was no stroke of luck.

She recollects how she would approach tournament organisers to obtain a press pass and offer them to click photos for free.

However, Heccu had to pay for the trips out of her pocket, which included flight tickets, accommodation, etc. It wasn’t easy, but she persisted.

She soon got the chance to work at IEM Katowice 2022 and did a commendable job. The community loved her, and the subsequent feedback only encouraged her.

“Getting one big gig doesn’t guarantee a spot at the top,” exclaims Heccu as she knows about the long road ahead.

Feel free to watch the interview and get to know more about Heccu. In the meantime, you can also browse around our new website.
