K9Kuro is an eccentric and well-loved vtuber from Vshojo, and he’s one of the few signed vtubers to perform their own face reveal.
K9Kuro, also known as Kuro Kurenai, is a special case in VShojo as he’s the first male streamer in the agency. He’s also known to be quite loud and pretty playful during streams, but has a mature side to himself when the situation calls for it. In an industry dominated by female streamers, he’s shown that he can create his own brand and audience to compete with them. He has more than 200,000 followers on Twitch and YouTube, making him one of the more successful male vtubers in the virtual sphere.
Not just that, he also breaks conventional vtuber practices, which further adds to his charms.
K9Kuro has been breaking conventions since his debut. As mentioned before, he’s the first male vtuber in Vshojo, which is primarily comprised of female vtubers. But probably the most surprising of all is that he’s not afraid to show his face and sometimes even streams just like a normal streamer and not a vtuber at all.
Just six months after he debuted, K9Kuro did an official face reveal stream. Not many vtubers do this, and most prefer to stay hidden behind their characters to protect their privacy. Kuro, on the other hand, breaks this rule.
According to K9Kuro himself, the main reason he did a face reveal stream is that he wants to do more things when he goes to Japan aside from just vtubing. He then added that he never wanted to just be a vtuber, but somehow ended up as one through luck. He even alluded to kson during the face reveal stream, saying that he wants the kind of flexibility she has with her content. However, he also reminds his fans that he will still be primarily streaming using his vtuber, but he wants the option to do content with his face in it.
Aside from those, Kuro has also posted quite a bit of his face on his Twitter and there are clips of him doing real life streams.
