T1’s ADC Gumayusi has announced that he was leaving his team after winning the 2025 LoL World Championship. Hanwha Life Esports has now officially stated that the 2025 Worlds Finals MVP was HLE’s new ADC for 2026.
Guma had spent his entire career with T1. The finals MVP had won the last three World Championships with them, but didn’t stop at that. Gumayusi started with T1 as a trainee all the way back in December 2018. The ADC has since then stuck with them and has never played for another team.
Three Worlds titles and a second place later, this is finally changing.

HLE has now confirmed its full roster for the 2026 season. Top laner Zeus, mid laner Zeka, and support Zeus re-sign with the team. To complete the roster, they are joined by Gumayusi in the bot lane, and by Top Esports’ jungler Kanavi.
Peanut retired to start his mandatory military service, and Viper is now a free agent. HLE’s former marksman is rumored to be looking for a starting position in the LPL. Gumayusi signed a 2-year contract with HLE to replace him, a standard duration in LoL Esports.
In 2024 and 2025, the LCK was all about three teams: HLE, Gen.G, and T1. Plus KT Rolster, who somehow crashed the party and reached the finals of the 2025 Worlds. The rest of the year, though, it was only about these three teams.
T1, Gen.G, and HLE should remain South Korea’s firm top three. The question is in which order.
My prediction is that nothing will change. Gen.G will still be the best team all year long except at Worlds. Hanwha Life will remain top 2 until T1 overtake them at Worlds. Zeus, Gumayusi; no matter how many T1 players they acquire, they’ll still miss Faker.
As for T1, they should remain in the top three or four in the LCK, and of course, the team that somehow wins Worlds after being nowhere for the rest of the year. The usual.
