Golden Guardians sign Licorice, FlyQuest to field Academy roster

Former Cloud9 top laner Licorice has moved from FlyQuest to Golden Guardians after a turbulent time with the LCS strugglers.

He has been replaced, somewhat ironically, by Kumo, who spent some time deputising for the American on Cloud9.

An interesting change for one of the LCS’ weakest sides.

More NA rookies!

While some have bemoaned the lack of new players joining the LCS, especially NA-born ones, the sight of an Academy team being given some time should alleviate some of that tension. It’s not the ideal time for them to be thrown in, but at least FlyQuest are trying *something*.

Either way, it can’t really be that much worse…
