According to reports, Epic Games is bringing Godzilla to Fortnite and fans want to know when they can see the monster in the battle royale.
Epic Games pulls out all the stops when it comes to collabs in Fortnite, with various IPs typically appearing as different skins and cosmetics that players can use. These collaborations range from the fan-favorite Deadpool to the main villain of the Marvel-themed season, Dr. Doom. Fans even got to see multiple skins in the Fortnitemares event and are currently enjoying the newly released Kick cosmetic.
According to leaks, the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will be heavily inspired by Japanese mythology. Fans will use Japanese folklore as inspiration for Fortnite POI and fans will also be able to use Oni masks. Now, leakers have leaked that Epic Games will be adding Godzilla to Fortnite.
Data mines show that Godzilla will be a part of Fortnite Chapter 6, and will play a major role in its first season.
Reputable Fortnite leaker Shiina has informed fans that Epic Games will add Godzilla to Fortnite in the upcoming Chapter 6 Season 1. A known Fortnite data miner SamLeakss broke the news about Fortnite x Godzilla happening on the social platform X. SamLeakss noticed the Monarch logo and figured out that the Monsterverse collaboration would be happening soon. He shared the information with fans but was unable to pinpoint the exact release date.
However, data miner and Epic Games partner Shinna corroborated SamLeakss’ findings and also leaked that the collab is planned for the next season of Fortnite. This means that the Japanese-themed Chapter 6 Season 1 will also feature Godzilla. This makes sense as Godzilla will fit right into Epic’s recreation of Japan in their battle royale.
Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 6 Season 1 is expected to release on December 1, 2024.
Epic Games hasn’t officially announced the release date for the upcoming chapter but the ongoing Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 will end on November 30. This makes it likely that Epic will release a new season of Fortnite soon after.
Fans might be able to see Godzilla running around the island wreaking havoc as soon as the start of December. Furthermore, the presence of Monarch means that more monsters might be seen in the battle royale.
