The playoff stage of VCT Pacific is only a few days away. The top eight teams that will be taking part in this phase of the tournament have been confirmed, along with their seeding. The first match of this phase will be between Global Esports and RRQ.
Here are the Global Esports vs. RRQ odds and our betting predictions for VCT Pacific Stage 1 2026.
The storyline between these two teams is quite interesting due to the history between the two. In the last two years, RRQ has faced off against Global Esports twice and lost each game with a 2-0 scoreline.
In the eyes of many, the current roster of Global Esports is the best they have ever fielded. During their previous match in the group stage of VCT Pacific Stage 1, they defeated Nongshim RedForce in a thrilling 2-1 match against all odds.
In a similar manner, RRQ defeated Detonation FocusMe 2-1. At one point in the match, there was a situation where RRQ was down and out. The scoreline was 12-10; all Detonation FocusMe had to do was win one round. Instead, they took a tactical timeout after winning two rounds in a row, breaking their momentum, resulting in them losing the map in overtime and the series as a whole.
This is the kind of mentality that we haven’t seen from Global Esports. The mental fortitude to go down one map and then win two maps on the bounce.

In the group stage, RRQ had a record of four wins with one less and finished as the second seed from Group Omega. Due to T1 finishing with a 5-0 record, they didn’t get the top seed.
Global Esports, on the other hand, finished as the third seed with three wins and two losses to their name. One player who has been spearheading the run of Global Esports is John Patrick “PatMen” Ramos Mendoza. In the team’s previous match against Nongshim RedForce, he stacked up 67 kills and 13 assists. This was the highest output by a player during VCT Pacific Stage 1 2026.
One player everyone should keep an eye on from RRQ is the Russian Ace Maksim “Jemkin” Batorov. In this tournament, he has been averaging 24 kills on each map.
On the map of Bind, Jemkin has a first blood success rate of 56.2%. One stat that Global Esports has a lot more dominance on is their win rate on pistol rounds. This tournament, they have had a 61% win rate vs RRQ’s 48%, showcasing their dominance on pistol rounds.
Looking at the betting odds for this game, RRQ are the favorites to win this game. It must be noted that Global Esports has multiple times beaten the odds this tournament.
Our prediction for this game is that Global Esports will win 2-1. We believe that the synergy between the Global Esports team is still growing. With this break in matches, they have a lot of time to prepare themselves and defeat RRQ.
There is only one win condition for RRQ to come out on top: they need to win the first map of the series. If they do that, then they might have a chance.
