Global Esports and Full Sense make history by qualifying for VALORANT Masters London

VALORANT Masters Global Esports

Since the start of the VCT 2026 season, there was one team that we had stated would be the dark horses: Global Esports. Well, following their victory against Paper Rex in the upper bracket semi-finals, Global Esports have qualified for VALORANT Masters London.

In the second upper bracket semi-final between T1 and Full Sense, Full Sense won with a 2-0 scoreline. This victory for Full Sense has helped them become the second VCT Pacific team to qualify for VALORANT Masters London.

This will be the first time in both the organizations’ history that they will be taking part in a VALORANT Masters event. In this article, let’s take a look at how Global Esports and Full Sense qualified for VALORANT Masters London and made history.

VCT Pacific Stage 1 has been quite the unpredictable tournament. In the group stage, Global Esports finished with a record of 3-2, defeating the likes of the reigning VALORANT Masters Santiago winners: Nongshim RedForce.

In the first match of the playoffs, they played against RRQ and won 2-0. Prior to the match against Paper Rex, Global Esports were on a nine-game losing streak against PRX. This losing streak has been going on since October 2021.

In the upper bracket final, knowing what is at stake, Global Esports started off on a strong note, winning the first map 13-9. On Lotus, Paper Rex made a comeback and won 13-6. All eyes were on the decider map of Pearl. In their previous match in the group stage, GE had lost to Paper Rex after having an 8-4 lead.

It did feel like history was about to repeat itself as GE took a lead of 9-3 in the first half. But that didn’t happen as GE closed out game 13-5, securing their spot at VALORANT Masters London.

Prior to the VCT Pacific 2026 season, Riot Games had announced that Talon Esports would be removed from the VCT Pacific due to financial mismanagement. As a result, Full Sense came into the league as their replacement. In the group stage of VCT Pacific Stage 1, FS finished as the third seed with a 3-2 record.

In the first match in the playoffs upper bracket, they faced off against Kiwoom DRX, taking them down 2-0. In the upper bracket semi-finals, Full Sense faced off against T1, a team that had previously defeated them.

In this rematch of teams from Group Omega, history didn’t repeat itself. Full Sense started off strong in both maps and won 2-0. With this win, they became the second team from VCT Pacific to defeat T1 this season.

Now, Full Sense has qualified for VALORANT Masters London and the upper bracket final of VCT Pacific. They will face off against Global Esports in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, in the upper bracket final. The tournament is set offer plenty of VALORANT betting opportunities as the top teams face off against each other.

The impact of this victory for both teams

With this victory, Global Esports becomes the first Indian esports organization to play at a VALORANT Masters tournament. After years of not qualifying for the playoffs of a VCT Pacific event, they are now heading to a Masters event.

For many, Global Esports had become the butt of jokes, but the additions of the likes of Hector “FrosT” Rosario, Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza, and Xavier “xavi8k” Juan have been crucial in the team becoming one of the best in the region.

The last time Full Sense players played an international tournament was back at VALORANT Champions 2024. In that tournament, the team was eliminated in the first phase of the event after losing to Leviatán.

Full Sense’s Papaphat “primmie” Sriprapha is the player to watch out for. Currently, he leads the VCT Pacific performance charts across many stats:

  • Average combat score (ACS): 272.3
  • Average damage per round (ADR): 172
  • K/D ratio: 1.42:1
  • Kills per round: 0.95

It has been truly incredible to see this player grow his talent from his rookie season in 2024 to becoming the crucial piece of the puzzle to help his team qualify. This will be the first time we see a team from South Asia and Southeast Asia taking part in a VALORANT Masters event.

It would be fair to say that the match between Global Esports and Full Sense in front of the Vietnamese audience will be a spectacle to watch.
