Natlan archon revealed with other new Genshin characters

Natlan Archon in Genshin Impact

Hoyoverse finally gave fans their first glimpse at the Natlan region, alongside showing who appears to be the pyro archon Mavuika.

Genshin Impact’s Teyvat has a total of seven regions to explore. While the game already has five, with Fontaine being the last, developer miHoYo stated it plans to release all seven in “the next few years.” With a year approaching since the fifth region dropped into the game, fans now have their first look at the sixth region Natlan.

Alongside getting a glimpse at the core story that the archon questline will revolve around, players also got their first look at who seems to be the pyro nation Natlan’s archon, Mavuika.

Finally, one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, “The Captain” Il Capitano seems to be the primary antagonist. The Snezhnayan individual is seen alongside the Natlan archon, where Murata invites him to participate in the upcoming tournament.

What is the Natlan region in Genshin Impact?

The Natlan region in Genshin Impact is a jungle-like region where people are grouped into different tribes, all of which follow different rules.

Like most other regions, all the people of Natlan worship the pyro archon. Players don’t know much about the region, but previous in-game dialogue depicts it as a place filled with constant war and battle. Dainsleif also spoke of a god of war originating from Natlan. While Murata was the original God of War from over 1,000 years ago, it’s unknown if the title has been passed on to who seems to be the current Natlan archon, Mavuika.

Located on the other side of Sumeru’s desert region, Natlan is home to natural hot springs created from volcanic activity. Players will likely have to cross the desert area to reach the sixth region in the game, although miHoYo could also add a shorter way to travel as it did with Fontaine.
