The finals of the LCK Cup playoffs 2026 are upon us, as the match that unofficially crowns the best team in the world. Gen.G has been the undisputed best team in Korea for the entirety of the LCK Cup. Will BFX manage to pen their own David and Goliath story?
FearX is here after an upset against T1 and a clean sweep against Dplus KIA, so they at least have plenty of life in them. Realistically though, BFX shouldn’t stand a chance against Gen.G in the LCK Cup finals.
Betting tip: Gen.G is overwhelmingly favorite without a doubt. BFX will likely take one game in the series, but even that isn’t sure.
My Gen.G vs BNK FearX pick: Over 3.5 maps at 1.73 odds at GG.BET.

Gen.G is vastly superior in every aspect. This needs to be addressed before pointing out the areas that BFX can draw hope from. Since the beginning of 2024, Gen.G has been the best team in the world for 11 months a year. At Worlds playoffs, their level drops, but they’re monsters the rest of the year.
Losing a total of two maps this entire split thus far (out of 18), Gen.G is once again reminding the LCK that they are the regional champions. Gen.G is a slow and methodical team with excellent map movement and teamfighting. On top of it, their laners are strong, and they will respond to skirmishes if it comes down to it.

Now, as for BFX. FearX has far exceeded expectations during the playoffs, and they’re leveling up match after match. Ruler himself recognized their strength, and it’s his lane opponent who’s going to be FearX’s spearhead against Gen.G.
The duo lane of Diable and Kellin has been on fire against T1 and DK. Putting the carry in ADC, Diable will go in if he sees the play, and Kellin will be right behind him. Until Summer last year, Ruler presented one of the weaknesses of Gen.G, in his tendency to get caught out of position in the mid lane. BFX could find an avenue to win through the bot lane.
As a reminder though, this did not happen in their first match last week. Ruler stood tall all series long, while Diable never found the plays to make. The rest of BFX didn’t do any better, either.

The odds are overwhelmingly stacked in favor of Gen.G and there is little reason to go against that. When BFX managed to take a game last week, their opponents were unfazed and came back with a vengeance. Gen.G has a depth of picks and comps that they can make work.
Our Gen.G vs BNK FearX prediction: Gen.G as the match winner 3-1 @1.12 odds at GG.BET.
