Games of the Future organizer Phygital International has unveiled the games that will headline this year’s event, revealing Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Fortnite, and Fatal Fury: City of Wolves as the titular games. Announced by release, these games, as well as a host of physical competitions, were revealed for this year’s event.
GotF is a unique tournament that combines physical athleticism with world-class esports competition to create an 11-discipline tournament, set to take place this December in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
From Dec. 18-23, Games of the Future will bring top-class athleticism and gaming to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Leading the lineup is, of course, CS2, as part of the Phygital Shooter discipline, testing precision, strategy, and teamwork under intense pressure.
Dota 2 will headline MOBA PC, showcasing the tactical depth and endurance that have made it one of the most respected titles in esports.
The Battle Royale competition will feature Fortnite, bringing its trademark survival gameplay and high-stakes drama to Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves joins the Phygital Fighting lineup, combining lightning-fast reflexes and tactical mastery in a nod to one of gaming’s most iconic franchises.

But the Phygital (physical and digital) event will combine physical and esports events. As part of this, the UFL will lead Phygital Football while 3-on-3 Freestyle will headline Phygital Basketball.

Beyond the tournaments, GOTF 2025 will reportedly feature immersive VR zones, cultural showcases, and interactive fan experiences delivering a groundbreaking celebration of innovation, competition, and the new era of phygital sport.
However, past Games of the Future events faced controversy due to links to Russian state funding. At the time of writing, we couldn’t verify if those elements still existed.
