Ever heard of 22BET? Of course you have. They’re the up-and-coming betting site that offers downloadable apps, 1,000+ sports events daily, state-of-the-art live streams and a ton of casino games – but can they be trusted?
I say they most definitely can and in this 22BET review, I’ll explore why. In a nutshell, though, all you need to know is that their platform is properly licensed, available in multiple countries and languages and surprisingly easy-to-use once you get your head around the site’s slightly unusual layout.
Much like any other budding betting brand, 22BET offers welcome bonuses targeted squarely at new customers. But what are the latest 22BET bonus code offers, exactly? Well, the offers displayed will of course vary depending on where you live, but generally, variations of the following promotions are available:
Type of Bonus ❓ | What You Get 👇 | Minimum Qualifying Deposit 🤏 | T&Cs ⚖ |
---|---|---|---|
Sports Welcome Offer | A 100% matched deposit bonus up to $100. | $1. | 5x wagering requirements apply, you must bet on odds of 1.40 or higher, and the bonus must be used within 7 days. |
Casino Welcome Offer | A 100% matched deposit bonus up to $250. | $1. | 50x wagering requirements apply, and the bonus must be played within 7 days. |
In addition to the above, bettors can also claim a “Friday Reload Bonus” that serves up another 100% deposit match when you deposit $1 or more each Friday. There’s a 0.3% rakeback offer up-for-grabs, too, known as the “Weekly Rebate Program”.
While the bonus T&Cs are all listed in USD, you can of course claim and play in any 22BET-supported currency you please – but more about this later…
I tried out the registration process here for myself, and what I found was that creating an account with 22BET doesn’t take longer than a couple of minutes at most. To register, simply:
Unlike the similarly named 20Bet, 22BET is… well, a bit weird to use the first time you start out. Upon opening the brand’s site or app, you’ll find that everything’s all kind of cluttered together on one page, and it can feel a bit overwhelming until you take a step back.
My advice would be to use the burger menus on your left-hand side to jump through to individual pages for specific sports or casino game genres. There are filters midway down the homepage, too, but the burger menus offer the added bonus of clearly stating how many markets, events or games are available in each category at any one time, and the process of creating a betting slip is much cleaner on sport-specific pages, too. Once you’re used to things, it’s all much easier than it first appears. You can switch odds formats in seconds in the top-right, and betting slips are super-customisable, too.
22BET is a two-in-one sportsbook and online casino, which dates back to 2018. The site’s managed by TechSolutions (CY) Group Limited, which you’ll be happy to hear has a registered address in Cyprus and holds a recognised iGaming license.
When I put together this 22BET casino review, I was initially quite surprised by the brand’s super-low deposit limits, which sit at just $1 USD or local currency equivalent. But after reading up a bit on the site’s background, all became clear – low limit betting is basically the brand’s mantra. 22BET are targeting themselves at small money players and beginners from the outset, and it works.
I’ve been rating iGaming platforms for quite some time now and, yes, for me this brand’s credentials are 100% legit. They’re transparent about their registered address, they hold a Curacao gambling license (number 00882, if you were interested), and they go out of their way to promote responsible gambling, too. You can also expect Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for anything sensitive you transmit to this brand.
From a sports betting perspective, creating and editing betting slips is easy once you’ve gotten your head around where everything is. It’s wise to streamline the experience using the individual sports pages we mentioned earlier, which will help you filter through your favourite individual events via a cleaner dashboard.
Casino-wise, slots are generally fast to load and backed-up by solid software, with many titles hailing from the likes of High 5 Games and 3 Oaks. Card and table games are equally fluid, particularly if you stick to Evolution-powered blackjack and roulette tables.
While Nucleonbet and other betting brands I’ve rated lately tend to go down a “mobile-friendly website” route, 22BET instead offers direct, downloadable apps for both iOS and Android users. Which, for me, is a dream.
The speed and quality of both are among 22BET’s top drawers – you can expect all the same functionality as you get with their website, just in pocket-sized, marginally more minimalist form. Either iteration is painlessly easy to download, too. If you’re feeling lazy, you won’t even need to search the app store, because 22Bet offers direct download links via their “Mobile” page.
When it comes to payment methods, I highly doubt you guys will run into any significant problems here. There are essentially seven key options on offer, which range from classic credit and debit cards like Visa and MasterCard, right through to popular e-wallets like PayPal and Skrill, and even QIWI and Dankort.
If you’re into crypto, 25 different cryptocurrencies are supported here, too, and no matter which payment option you choose, there’s a brand promise of “no hidden deposit or withdrawal fees”. My 22BET rating here? Top marks, I think. Just keep in mind that withdrawals could sometimes take up to 48 hours with some payment methods.
It’s a similar story with customer service, too. 22BET offers 24/7 live chat, so I seriously doubt any of you will wind up feeling frustrated here if you run into a problem that requires a fast solution.
I trialled the service for myself and found agents were generally friendly, communication was clear, and responses came through within a few minutes or less most of the time. There are some handy FAQs at the bottom of the brand’s homepage, too, and when toggling between country options in the top-right, these will automatically show up in different languages. Having said that, live chat seems to default back to English, which is a bit of an oversight really.
22BET is legit. I’ve been through this already, right? Well, just to recap, the brand has an iGaming license in Curacao and legally accepts players from 65 different countries. As I mentioned earlier, SSL encryption is in full force here, too. There’s also fairly strict ID verification in place and a well-enforced “over-18s only” policy to protect minors.
Much as Vulkan Vegas, 22BET is totally legit too. Though of course, 22BET is only 100% safe for you personally if you’re living in a country where iGaming is legally permitted, and the brand is willing to accept you as a player.
At the time of writing, you can enjoy 22BET’s betting platform legally in 65 different countries, and you can check-out a full list of supported regions by clicking the country icon in the top-right of the 22BET homepage at any time. The options available range anywhere from UK, Canada and Hungary to Thailand, Uzbekistan and South Korea.
Not too long back, I penned an ICE Casino review that was complimentary about the brand’s tier-driven VIP program, which served up many a level-up reward. Sadly, you won’t find a similar loyalty scheme up-for-grabs with 22BET, but that isn’t at all to say that the brand sucks for existing customer promos.
I touched upon this earlier, but Fridays are a big day for 22BET bonuses. Drop any deposit above $1 and you’ll qualify for a deposit match worth anywhere up to $100 in sports bets with the “Friday Reload” promo. Casino fans can also claim 50% up to $220 on selected slots games weekly with the “Wednesday Cash Splash” promo, and “Weekly Races” are rotated on random games of a weekend, too.
The brand offers a diverse and beautifully balanced range of different sports markets. There are 23 markets in total, and 22BET claims upwards of 1,000 individual events are made available to bettors on the daily, which is definitely above average if you compare the platform to some of its closest competitors. It’s great to see a few niche markets like boat racing and handball up-for-grabs, too.
For a platform that splits its offerings quite evenly between sports and casino, the odds here are generally good enough to compete with some of the biggest and best sports-centric brands out there. Football, ice hockey and table tennis odds appeared to be among the most competitive at the time of writing, though you should keep an eye out for special odds-boosters under the “Main Events” tab in the far-left at all times.
Without a doubt one of the brand’s stand-out features is its superb range of live betting and streaming options. Hit the “Live” button and anything from volleyball to snooker can be bet on in real-time, and you can jump into fast-loading streams of selected sports with the click of a button. The process for placing a live bet is identical to putting down a regular bet.
22BET is well-known for its ultra-low deposit limits, which I’d say make their site a great fit for anxious or beginner bettors who don’t want to drop too much cash at a time. Deposits are accepted from as a little as $1 or your local currency equivalent, and even in instances where you’re claiming a bonus, a $1 deposit will usually still qualify.
With 1,000+ sports odds at your fingertips daily, fast and easy-to-use live betting and streaming features and ultra-low deposit limits, there’s a lot for sports fans to love here. Just keep in mind that you’ll want to filter through to individual sport pages to avoid the otherwise cluttered page layouts.
It’d take me a good while to list all the casino software brands players have to choose from here, but High 5 Games, Evolution and Pragmatic are all well-represented. Loading times are superb, too, though functionality does pose a small issue again – “slots” have their own category, but it takes some clicking around to locate roulette or baccarat, for example.
As soon as I started writing this 22BET review, I was taken aback by the number of niche casino games on offer. There are some incredibly rare categories here, from “Hindi Style” to “Speeds” – though of course, you’ll find classic slots like Book of Truth and Seven Seven if filtering by “Popular Games”. Sadly, though, there’s no Starburst or Book of Dead to speak of…
Live games are yet another awesome 22BET offering. You’ll find a fair few options on the table, most of which are powered by either Evolution, Pragmatic, Ezugi or LuckyStreak, though it’s difficult to determine exactly how many games are on offer in total due to the peculiar way they’re organised. On the upside, special tables are commonplace, ranging from Spanish Baccarat to the Mexican-themed Casino de Guadalajara Roulette.
It’s the same story here as we saw with the brand’s sportsbook – ultra-low minimum deposits of $1 will gain you access to the site’s full casino portfolio. When playing at tables, however, keep in mind that limits can vary quite drastically from one table to another. Spruced-up games like XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat, for example, might not be massively beginner-friendly…
While there are admittedly a few classic slots missing from the oeuvre and functionality poses a slight challenge the first time you play, 22BET’s casino portfolio has great balance, and the quality of gaming software up-for-grabs simply can’t be denied. If you’re gonna play here, be sure to take advantage of that awesome casino welcome bonus we mentioned earlier, too.
22BET has a dedicated esports platform where you can bet on 11 esports games. Some of my favourites include CS:GO, Dota 2 and Valorant.
I was able to bet on everything from the Dota 2 Ultra Pro, to smaller niche leagues such as the CS:GO H2H Liga 2×2.
As always, I compared a handful of 22BET esports markets to the nearest competitors and found that they were better in some cases and at the very least competitive.
When I first clicked on an in-play esports market, I was presented with plenty of options, but could only see live scores and stats. However, I quickly found the “Play” button where you can open a live stream on the right-hand side of the screen.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the esports betting options were at 22BET. You have a separate platform with plenty of markets, a good range of stats and the chance to stream matches live.
22BET holds a recognised license and will willingly accept players from 65 different countries, though you should of course read-up on the regulatory outlook for iGaming where you live before registering. Get more tips with my expert betting guides today.
Different betting brands’ bonuses vary from country to country, but generally most 22BET newbies can claim an up to 100% matched deposit bonus playable on either sports or casino games. Find out how these offers work with my up-to-date bonus reviews.

22BET is growing – and fast. Why? Well, as I’ve revealed here, they have a lot to offer to sports fans, from a huge selection of markets and a generous matched deposit betting bonus to easy-to-edit betting slips and awesome live-streaming capabilities. Casino lovers aren’t overlooked, either, as the brand’s High 5-powered slots and tables from Evolution are fast, fun, and super-flexible with their bet limits.
The cluttered homepage does take a little getting used to at first, but I’m a firm believer that this is a small price to pay for all that 22BET has to offer. No matter your game or betting preferences, everyone can benefit from the brand’s silky-smooth iOS and Android apps, recurring weekly promos and excellent support for multiple languages. Oh, and perhaps most importantly – the site is 100% safe and legit so long as you live in a 22BET-friendly country.
