Tournament organizer PGL has announced that they will prohibit organizations Gambit and Virtus.Pro from competing in the upcoming Antwerp Major. They follow earlier decisions from ESL and BLAST, who decided to not allow the organizations to participate in their events due to their ties with the Russian government. The players are allowed to compete under a neutral name.
In an official statement, PGL says that “With the current appalling situation in mind, we have decided that individuals and organizations with connections to the Russian government will not be allowed to be represented in upcoming RMR matches and the PGL Antwerp Major.”
