It was a little laboured after an electric start, but Gambit completed the 2-0 over a makeshift Heroic roster.
The Russians flew out of the blocks with a 14-1 lead on Inferno as Heroic could barely sniff a round; but the Danes pulled it back to 14-11 before Gambit finally managed to close it out.
It was another lockdown defence from Gambit to make sure Vertigo went cleanly in their favour.
Are Gambit back?
Though it was against Heroic without stavn, it will be encouraging to nafany to see their superb CT sides return back on LAN, even without fans.
sh1ro was back to his immortal self and nafany’s aggression was timely and round-changing, as it used to be; Gambit pretty much never looked in danger of losing, even if there was a scare on map one.
Heroic can take some heart from their own CT sides, but will essentially be looking at this as a free hit, given their circumstances.
The Danes will now face NaVi in an elimination game, which, erm, good luck.
