The 2022 EMEA VCT season kicked off with a bang, as two of the top teams in the region faced off in a much-anticipated rematch from last year's Champions.
Liquid looked to avenge their elimination by taking down the top dog in the region, but it didn't go how they thought it would.
Although the maps were competitive - 13-9 and 13-8 - tGambit proved that they hadn't lost a step with a 2-0 sweep to start the year.
Liquid is still expected to make it out of the group stage. They had a strong showing on the first half of Breeze but had no answer when they switched over to attack.
The way Gambit is playing, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them make it out of groups without a loss. Liquid is the clear #2 in their group, and they handled them with relative ease.
