According to a report from Dexerto, G2 are in the process of signing Australian rifler Justin “jks” Savage. The 26-year-old has been without a home since being benched at Complexity in the fall of 2021.
The move would leave the gap left by Audric ‘JACKZ’ Jug’s reported departure, as the Frenchman seemingly is falling victim to an overhaul of G2’s CSGO division. In-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” has already announced that he is free to explore options outside the team.
G2 entered the year with high hopes, as they acquired Aleksib and AWP prodigy Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov in the hope of finally lifting a trophy again. The Berlin-based organization hasn’t won a single prize since 2017 in CSGO.
But a string of disappointing results leading into the summer break has left them once again making changes.
For jks, the move to G2 would see an end to an eight-month stint on Complexity’s bench. During his time on the side, he stood in for FaZe Clan at IEM Cologne, where he beat G2 in the grand final to win the event.
Ever since, it’s been quiet around the Australian. A rumored move to OG fell through as the team decided to move in a different direction.
A move to G2 would mark a return to the top for jks. He previously played for teams such as Renegades, 100 Thieves, and Vox Eminor.
