Tomorrow, Natus Vincere and G2 Esports finally meet in a major series for the LEC Spring Split standings. NAVI isn’t among the big names of the LEC but they’re in the top 3, while G2 is the all-time best European team but currently sits in the middle. This match will finally indicate where they stand.
Betting tip: G2 is unpredictable in the regular season. The Kings of Europe can sweep the floor with anyone before losing to the bottom spots. However, no LEC team is ever expected to win against Rasmus “Caps” Winther.

During the LEC roadtrip in France, Natus Vincere picked up two wins, but these results weren’t representative of the level of play. Against the winless Shifters, they struggled way too much to close out the game. Then against Fnatic, they had to rely on them making their signature catastrophic mistakes.
In their loss against Karmine Corp, they simply looked outclassed, even mechanically. Those three matches were a great representation of NAVI’s struggles to cross the finish line. The way this looks, they will enter the playoffs as a high seed only to be taken out by one of Europe’s big three.
Now, the problem to face is that G2 isn’t below KC mechanically. G2 also won’t gift a Dragon soul with no explanation the way FNC did. This team is rather the type to either dictate the pace of the game, or catch the opponent unawares if they try to.
G2’s losses are also far away now. While they felt shakier in the LEC Spring Split, the fact is that they’ve had three clean 2-0 wins. As the split goes on, they recover more and more of their internationals’ strength. Which is normal, as First Stand participants always have a down period since they need to rest.
Last week, Yoon “Poby” Sung-won was empowered by the roar of the crowd. The way he was in Paris, he could stand up to Caps. Being back in the LEC studio, time will tell whether some of that energy stuck with him.

G2 has yet to face four of their five biggest challenges this split, leaving many questions unanswered. On the other side though, Natus Vincere has consistently been shaky against the top place teams. G2 should be no exception.
