G2 Esports has plugged the hole on its roster with Aleksander “hades” Miśkiewicz, but who is this player and how does he fit in?
Team Falcons and G2 Esports finally confirmed the news on April 14, 2025. The much-talked-about transfer of 19-year-old superstar Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov replace Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov to Team Falcons was confirmed. This came immediately after the Team Falcons roster posted the best finish in the organization’s history; winning PGL Bucharest 2025 by defeating G2.
While Falcons adding m0NESY was the centerpiece to the discourse surrounding the transfer, details on G2’s plans didn’t receive as much attention. Now fans know what G2’s roster will look like for the remainder of the spring.
hades is a seasoned player from the European tier-two scene who is best known for his multiple stints with ENCE. His career started in the late 2010s playing for various semi-pro teams before bouncing between various all-Polish rosters.
In 2021, he arrived on ENCE and helped the team post some of its best performances with an international roster, including a top-four finish in the 2022 Antwerp Major and a playoffs run to IEM Katowice 2024. He was transferred to Monte in July 2024 alongside teammate Pawel “dycha” Dycha.
With Monte, hades has posted few notable placements. The team has largely spun its wheels in the tier-two scene, posting generally solid placements in tier-two leagues and tournaments like ESL Challenger and CCT European Series. It hasn’t qualified for any notable international tournaments.
The jump from Monte to G2 Esports represents a huge step up for hades, as he goes from the regional scene to a team that was widely ranked in the top 10 before m0NESY’s departure. He has big shoes to fill, however.
hades is joining G2 Esports on loan from Monte, but is seemingly not guaranteed a spot on the team. The loan is set to run through the end of June 2025. G2 is set to have a very busy spring, and the new squad will be thrown into the proverbial deep end.
Here is the new G2 Esports Counter-Strike 2 roster after adding hades:
hades’ debut with the team is set to come at PGL Astana on May 10. Many of Counter-Strike’s top teams will be competing at the event, with Team Spirit, The MongolZ, NaVi, and the new Aurora Gaming all scheduled to compete. After the trip to Kazakhstan, G2 will be set to fly to the United States to compete in both IEM Dallas 2025 and the BLAST Austin Major.
Loan players are caught in a potentially awkward spot where even success doesn’t guarantee a roster spot. While the ideal circumstance is something like Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin earning a full-time roster spot with MOUZ, those are generally an exception. Most wind up like Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev’s ugly run with Team Falcons. Even if hades enjoys strong success with G2 Esports, there’s no guarantee he gets a full-time roster spot.
Regardless, he has the chance to once again prove himself in the tier-one scene in May.
