Fortnite crossing over with Resident Evil is not all that surprising. There are already some collaborative skins and cosmetics in the game. In recent years, Epic Games has been collecting other video games and series like Infinity Stones, bringing characters and items from the likes of God of War, Tomb Raider, Lethal Company, Among Us, Metal Gear, and many more into the Fortnite metaverse. But now, a second wave of the Resident Evil collab is coming, and it’s awfully timely.
Right now, there are several Resident Evil skins in Fortnite. Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, and Leon S. Kennedy are all a part of the world-famous battle royale. There are subsequent cosmetics in the game, too. For example, players can have a Resident Evil locker set up. These kinds of items are called Item Shop skins, which means that they are a part of a steady Item Shop rotation. The next wave of cosmetics will hit the Item Shop in March 2026, and the Resident Evil items are expected to be a part of it.
Epic Games just confirmed that another skin is coming to Fortnite. Those who pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline game in the franchise, through the Epic Games store, will get the Grace Ashcroft skin for free. Other items can be unlocked directly through the game. The game launches on February 27, 2026 and ordering the game before the date will enable access to the skin in game.
Other items have not been officially announced yet, but it is expected that all of them will be released to players after the launch of the game. We can also expect, but this is not guaranteed, that the Grace Ashcroft skin and whatever other cosmetics arrive will also land in the Fortnite Item Shop after. Speaking of, leaker HYPEX revealed that the other skins, Leon, Claire, and the others, will land back in the Item Shop at that time, too.

As with any Fortnite leak, this should be taken with a grain of salt, but the Grace Ashcroft skin is definitely confirmed. Other than that, there is not much in terms of confirmed information, but we’ll update when we have more information on what this crossover entails. It could end up being part of a seasonal crossover depending on how the calendar falls.
