Fortnite x iShowSpeed: Superstar streamer hints at official crossover

Fortnite x iShowSpeed

iShowSpeed has become known for so much more than streaming at this point, but when he does stream, he often plays Fortnite. His most infamous stream, perhaps the most infamous stream of all time, involved a person whose “mom was kinda homeless” and Fortnite. He’s branched into other things, meeting famous athletes and competing in races with professional runners, but Fortnite persists. Now, it appears as if he’s getting an official collaboration with the game.

Fortnite x iShowSpeed collaboration reportedly coming

After reuniting with the people from the aforementioned stream, iShowSpeed made an announcement for players, although it didn’t officially confirm anything. Per HYPEX, he said, “Speaking of Fortnite, I don’t want to say anything, but let me just do this.” He then winked several times at the camera. “That’s all I’m going to say,” he concluded.

That’s a clear hint for a collaboration, which is why he couldn’t say anything else. Something with Speed is coming to the game. Given his level of fame, this is not at all surprising. Plenty of streamers who religiously play the game got ICON Series skins, such as Ninja, SypherPK, Nick Eh 30, Bugha, and Chica. Even streamers who are only loosely connected, like Kai Cenat, have made it.

The modern age makes it so that streamers often become celebrities, which seems mostly enough to get an ICON skin crossover at this point. Athletes and singers have been added to the game, so streamers make a lot of sense. It’s unclear what this crossover will entail. However, we can estimate based on the history of similar collabs.

iShowSpeed in Fortnite will probably have a skin. In fact, there will probably be a couple of skins, each with alternate styles. There will probably be a back bling, glider, pickaxe, and emote as well. Weapon wraps might also be included. Whatever is involved will also likely be in a bundle, too. For now, we don’t know this for sure and we don’t know the release date, but it’s coming.
