Twitch has banned Lennard “rezonfn” Sill, leaving his fans to wonder what the Fortnite streamer did and whether his ban is permanent.
rezonfn is a German professional Fortnite player affiliated with Team Exceed and sporting a status as a prominent streamer on Twitch. The streamer has a massive fan following of more than 1 million on the livestreaming platform. rezonfn also ranks among the top Fortnite players in Germany in terms of competitive earnings.
Despite rezonfn’s popularity on Twitch, it looks like something the streamer has done wrong has come to the notice of the platform. On January 8, 2025, Twitch banned rezonfn’s channel and fans want to know why the streamer’s channel was suspended and when he’ll be back.
rezonfn posted a screenshot of the notification Twitch sent him regarding his banm which states that the streamer was banned for “hateful insults or symbols.”
Twitch doesn’t publicly comment on the actions it takes on the violation of channels and the screenshot that rezonfn shared doesn’t mention the exact comment or symbol the streamer made or used. However, viewers put together which comment that may have led to rezonfn’s Twitch ban.
An X user claims that rezonfn told someone to fatally harm themselves while he was live on stream. While this reasoning is unconfirmed, it aligns with the screenshot rezonfn shared. The screenshot also mentions that the streamer’s channel was suspended for a hateful act, which this would align with.
This is the streamer’s first such offense on the platform so might not take severe action against him. However, if the cited comment is indeed at the base of the ban, it remains highly inappropriate and leaves fans are wondering whether the ban might be permanent.
rezonfn tweeted about it on his X account and requested that Twitch unban him quickly. The streamer apologized to the platform for what he said and promised that he’d do better in the future. He also apologized to the person he’d spoken out against for his comment.
rezonfn’s Twitch channel displays that it was suspended temporarily because of a violation, so the streamer is unlikely to have suffered a permanent Twitch ban and should be back on the platform after the suspension expires.
rezonfn made another tweet on X confirming that his channel wasn’t banned permanently. The streamer also informed fans that the ban duration was exactly seven days, one full week’s time. So he should be back once the ban is lifted after that week.
That this is the streamer’s first offense on the platform is likely the sole reason why Twitch didn’t punish him more severely. It will now be that much more important that the streamer not break any more rules, as continued offenses can lead to harsher punishments and even a channel’s permanent termination.
