Fortnite x Simpsons: Crossover with popular animation will change map

Fortnite sometimes has big enough crossovers that justify map changes. Most often, these are just small landmarks, but the current map is a good example of the bigger ones. Even now, there is one full POI remaining from the Star Wars mini-season. During that season, three full POIs were themed after the crossover of the season. Now, a new report suggests that Epic Games is going to do that again, but this time with a long-running animated TV show.

Fortnite x The Simpsons will change the map

For the second time this chapter, Fortnite will have a mini-season. First, they had a Star Wars season. Now, they’re set to have a crossover mini-season with The Simpsons. This is not the first adult animation to get into the game (Family Guy, Rick and Morty, Futurama), but it’s the first to have such an in-depth collaboration. According these Fortnite leaks, Epic Games is going all out with this one.

According to a trio of leakers, HYPEX, NotPaolo, and Spush, the next season’s map will entirely be modeled after Springfield, the famous town where the Simpsons reside. Additionally, more specifically, there will be a Nuclear Plant POI. We can expect more POIs directly from the show as well. Furthermore, the leaks indicate that the entire map will be cel-shaded.

The cel-shaded look is usually reserved for skins like Spider-Man 2099, Wolverine, Naruto, and other animated characters, but it will be applied to the whole map now. This is the first time any location on the map is fully cel-shaded like that, and it’ll be the entire map. It’ll make for a stark change. Here’s what the map looks like, according to another leak from HYPEX.

This should come as no surprise, but NotPaolo confirmed that there will be plenty of skins available, too. The leak did note that there will be mashup skins, meaning original skins mixed with the collab characters. The Sabretooth Meowscles skin and Britestar are examples. It’s not clear yet if it’ll be in the battle pass or shop, but both are possible. We can also expect characters like Homer, Bart, Marge, and others to be included. Moe and Ned Flanders have specifically been leaked by name, so we can expect both of them to show up.

For now, some of the battle pass skins have been leaked. According to the early key art, Homer, Marge, and Ned Flanders are included, as well as a mashup, as expected, between the Simpsons and Peely, as well as Fishsticks. There is also expected to be a live event transitioning from the current season into the Simpsons crossover one. Krusty the Clown, Lisa, Bart, and Scratch have also been leaked. As of now, that’s all we know for sure from the leaks. More info is expected to come soon when the current Fortnite season ends.

Above is the leaked key art. Keep in mind, though, that these are leaks and are not fully confirmed. Epic Games has yet to confirm this rumor, but with so many leaks reporting it, there’s a very strong chance it will happen.
