Fortnite Season 7 is less than a week away with a release date of June 7. A new season typically means a host of new content coming to the game, and we don’t totally know what to expect.
For now, all we know is that aliens will have something to do with the plot – probably the theme of the Battle Pass as well. That doesn’t tell us too much about what changes the game will see, however.
Ahead, I’ll discuss what I want to see happen in Season 7.

I don’t know about you, but I hated the crafting system in Season 7. This might be a bit of a hot take, but I think it complicated an already complicated game.
Farming is a mechanic that’s unique to Fortnite. You have to loot weapons and gear in other BRs, but Fortnite requires you to farm materials to be ready for battle.
Now, we have regular materials, craftable materials, and Gold Bars. That’s too much farming before you’re comfortable taking a fight. This system needs a significant rework or complete removal, although we don’t expect to see that happen.
I’ve brought this up in every “wish list” for years and it never happens. Maybe Season 7 will finally bring some meaningful changes to the Arena system.
As I’ve said countless times in the past, there’s no reason for anyone to play Arena if they don’t plan on competing in tournaments.
Siphon is a draw, sure, but there are no rewards for making it to Champion’s League. There’s no de-ranking either, which means players in Champion’s League don’t try as hard. The matches leading up to Champ’s are always the toughest for that reason, which isn’t how it should be.
Seasons 5 and 6 brought some meaningful changes to the Fortnite Chapter 2 map, but not as much as we would like to see.
It seems like about time for a complete map rework. It seems like Epic are bringing back old POIs from the first map, and I’d like to see that continue with a twist or two.
This is one of the items on the wish list that seems the most likely. Epic have always been one of the best developers when it comes to changing the map, and Season 7 should be no exception.

We’ve now been without Launch Pads for the longest time since they first entered the game way back in the early days of Chapter 1.
Launch Pads are like the Pump. They’re a staple of Fortnite and the game isn’t the same without them.
As you can see in any of the FNCS matches, we need more items that allow players to change elevation. Without items like the Launch Pad, high-ground is a free win for any coordinated team.
Launch Pads will almost certainly return at some point, and we hope to see them in Season 7.

That’s it for our Season 7 wish list. We’d also love to see Epic add more players to casual matches, but that seems like a massive long-shot.
Of course, we’ll be covering all of the Season 7 news as it comes out, so make sure you’re refreshing your Fortnite feed!
