While the game has a ton of different modes already, a brand-new Fortnite photo mode is reportedly on the way this season. This will join the likes of Battle Royale, Zero Build, Creative, LEGO, Rocket Racing, Festival, and so many more in the ever-growing game that’s quickly becoming a true sandbox. Here’s what we know about the upcoming mode.
According to HYPEX, a renowned leaker in the Fortnite community, there will be a photo game mode this season. The season ends in a little over a month, so we can expect the mode to arrive sometime before November 1.
We don’t know an exact release date for this mode yet, and it remains very plausible that the mode will be implemented, like many before it, in between Fortnite seasons.

Per the leak, this mode will have the ability to change facial expressions on your skins. Prior to this, you could only change the facial expression by doing an emote that had a change. Otherwise, the faces remained mostly the same. They still will in other modes, but at least for a good picture, you have control.
You can also adjust the lighting in the scene and the character to make a picture brighter or darker. This can also be done to achieve a silhouette effect, but either way, there will be a lot of different ways to light things. The camera will have changeable lens effects, too. After you take the picture, it will save as a high-resolution image in your Fortnite folder.
That last statement makes it seem like it’s going to be exclusive to PC since Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, and PlayStation gamers don’t have such a file. However, that isn’t confirmed, and it wouldn’t make much sense. They could just use the capture feature or screenshot feature on those devices.
This is a developing story, and we’ll have more information as soon as the mode is live.
