A recent leak reveals four more Fortnite skins coming to Lego Fortnite including the fan-favorite Dragon Ball protagonist Goku.
Typically, whenever Fortnite is about to receive new content, most if not all of the details are leaked online beforehand thanks to data mining. Epic sometimes does it intentionally with special surveys asking fans to judge future Fortnite skins. Lego Fortnite gives the company a way to release the same skins yet again, this time in a fun blocky aesthetic. The next round of such ports appears to contain popular picks from multiple big collaborations.
This leak also comes courtesy of ShiinaBR on Twitter, who has been a frequent and reliable source of Fortnite leaks, meaning the content of this leak is likely accurate.
According to the datamine, DJ Bop, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, and the Demogorgon and Eleven from Stranger Things will get new skins in Lego Fortnite. The datamine also included unfinished versions of their in-game models, so fans can get a general idea of how they’ll look.
Judging by the reactions on Twitter, most people are excited to see Goku getting the Lego treatment. Not just because of the character’s popularity, but also because this opens the door for other Dragon Ball characters to follow suit, such as Vegeta and Beerus. A Lego variant for the latter is particularly in high demand thanks to the Lego Beerus meme which originated from a bootleg minifigure of the character. There’s surprisingly never been any officially licensed Dragon Ball Lego sets, but hopefully, that will change at some point.
By comparison, Eleven and the Demogorgon both saw official Lego figures as part of a Stranger Things lineup of products. However, the range was short-lived and was discontinued in 2022 just three years after its launch.
There’s currently no telling when these skins will be added to Lego Fortnite, but players probably won’t have to wait too long. The unfinished Lego skins were found in the files for Fortnite’s v30.20 update from June, so Epic Games probably intends to formally release the skins in the next update. At the time of writing, the next Lego Fortnite update is scheduled for July 23, so there’s a solid chance Goku and friends will arrive then.
