Fortnite is so good that even Summit has been playing

Taking the temperature of a Fortnite season is as easy as looking at the directory on Twitch. 

Who is streaming Fortnite? Is the top of the category SypherPK, NickEh30, and Clix or Ninja, Tfue, and NickMercs?

Since the Zero Build update, it’s been names like the latter three at the top of the Fortnite directory more often than not. As you can guess, that’s a good thing.

Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, regardless of whether or not streamers are playing.

The game has been stale at several points throughout its history. Creators have found it hard to make content, but the player count remains high.

You can’t ignore, however, that the game is in its healthiest state when it’s dominating the BR category on Twitch.

Most of us expected to see Tfue, Nickmercs, and similar players to come back to Fortnite after the Zero Build update – but Summit1G? Not many people predicted that he’d be addicted to Fortnite in 2022.

Summit has been a variety streamer for years, with a few games that he always returns to. GTA RP, CS:GO, and Sea of Thieves are games that Summit always plays off-and-on alongside the new one he’s trying out.

It looks like Fortnite could be added to the list. Summit has been all the way into Fortnite for the last week. 

He went from thinking IO Guards were other players to mastering the Season 2 loot pool and rotational strategies.

The newfound love of Fortnite makes sense for Summit. He routinely gets bored of the games he plays, and the Zero Build Fortnite mode is right up his alley.

Summit has taken a short break from Fortnite since his weeklong marathon, but he’ll probably come back sooner or later. He’s absolutely cracked – even inciting a false ban on his account.
