Fortnite announced that more skins from the Metal Gear Solid series are coming to the game, with mined data suggesting that fans can also expect to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Family Guy soon.
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass blew up social media with skins for popular characters like Peter Griffin and Solid Snake. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also had a huge collaboration, and characters like Devil May Cry’s Dante are also seemingly inbound. Epic Games is set to double-dip with some of these IPs, though.
According to data miners, new skins from Family Guy and Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to the game soon, including an emote from one of those IPs. The official Fortnite X account also announced collaboration items from the Metal Gear series will appear in Fortnite soon, including a skin for fan-favorite character Raiden.
Raiden from Metal Gear, Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and an unknown character from Family Guy are joining the Fortnite shop.
Raiden, the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, will get his bundle in the Fortnite shop. The skin bundle includes two styles, one with his mask from the opening portions of MGS2 and one without, alongside a skin for the melee weapon that turns it into his HF Blade. An Old Snake skin based upon Solid Snake’s look in MGS4 is also inbound, alongside other Metal Gear-related items like the iconic cardboard box.
Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is also getting a skin in Fortnite, making him the sixth Ninja Turtle skin in the game after the four turtles and their companion, April O’Neil.
While mined data suggests that Family Guy will get a tab in the in-game item shop, it’s unclear which character will be coming to the game. Lois or Meg Griffin are the most likely thanks to their hitbox potentially fitting Fortnite, but Peter’s skin saw the Family Guy character’s physical appearance changed to fit the game so it could hypothetically be anyone.
It’s unknown when the Shredder, Raiden, and Family Guy skins will arrive in the Fortnite shop.
Since the upcoming collaborations were found in the in-game files, the skins might appear in the game sooner rather than later. Fortnite has already announced the Metal Gear collaboration, suggesting that fans might get to play as Raiden first. All three collaborations are expected to happen in January or February 2024.
