Former ENCE AWPer Elias “jamppi” Olkkonen has teased a potential return to CS:GO. The Finn retired from the game in 2021 to pursue a career in VALORANT, as he was barred from attending Majors due to a VAC ban.
jamppi, who currently plays for Team Liquid in Riot’s shooter, said he would eventually return to CS:GO while streaming the game. After a disappointing VCT Masters Reykjavik, he has been streaming the game frequently as he has some downtime in his VALORANT season.
A viewer asked if jamppi would ever return to compete in CS:GO during one of his streams. He answered that he sees himself returning to the game eventually.
jamppi rose to fame as part of ENCE’s six-man roster in 2020. As he had a VAC banned account linked to his name, he was not allowed to play in the Major and RMR events.
After moving in and out of ENCE’s roster for over a year, he decided to transition to VALORANT, where he would be able to compete in all competitions.
Soon after his transition, Valve changed its rules surrounding VAC bans, meaning that jamppi was unbanned.
But the Fin stuck with VALORANT, where he managed to qualify for the 2021 Champions tournament.
