FlyQuest is LYON’s second opponent since signing Cho “Castle” Hyeon-seong into their roster. Against Team Liquid, they showed that they’ll use both during the series to best fit the needs of the moment.
If they win, LYON secures a top two spot in the LCS Spring Split and can even finish first based on Cloud9’s result. FlyQuest, on the other hand, needs to win at least one single game to guarantee a top four placement.
Betting tip: LYON’s got the upper hand in this match-up. With their win against Team Liquid, they proved that they’re still a top team in the LCS. Even though FlyQuest won their series in the Esports World Cup Qualifier, the stage experience isn’t the same and LYON has more solid bases.
My FlyQuest vs LYON pick: Over 2.5 maps at 2.01 odds at GG.BET.

Last week, LYON announced that Castle would join their roster. Castle will compete for the top lane spot with Niship “Dhokla” Doshi. The reasoning behind this change was that LYON wasn’t performing as well as a champion should. With two top laners, they can swap between them based on their needs for the game.
Like every other First Stand representative, LYON hasn’t looked as good this split, hence the decision to call Castle. Even in the LCS Lock-in, LYON only truly came to form during the playoffs. That being said, “not as good” is still a good standard when it comes to this team. Now that they’ve beaten TLAW, they’ve shown that this standard is that of a top two team.
On the other side of the Rift, FlyQuest is finally showing real signs of growth. The synergy is building up, and the new players in the team are improving week after week.
However, there’s still a way to go. Most notably, FLY still lacks discipline when it comes to warding, sometimes going unprotected.
LYON’s core strength just so happens to be their movement around the map. While carefree warding might pay off if it goes well, it’s all the more likely to end poorly here. The biggest point of attack for FLY will be the mid lane, with Song “Quad” Su-hyeong looking good as always while Kang “Saint” Sung-in is still a weak link for LYON.

LYON has only lost in the first week and is looking to extend their streak against FlyQuest. In spite of FLY’s progress, they’re still up against Kacper “Inspired” Słoma.
