PS+
Access to the long list of PS Plus games through the PlayStation Plus subscription has been one of the best benefits of owning the system.
It provides the services of online gaming, a free game of the month, and discounts on your favorite games. It now has a larger catalog after PlayStation Now games were also made available this year.
Here are five of the best PS Plus games that every PlayStation owner should try.

God of War
Kratos, the eponymous God of War, is no longer a raging soldier but a world-weary and protective father, finding shelter in the Norse pantheon after destroying the Greek pantheon.
This odyssey is a reflective look at the saga’s history of violence and is a mellower but emotionally heavier take on fatherhood, guilt, and regret – all taken in one shot – from Sony Santa Monica.
With the next installment of the series releasing later this year, there’s no better time to pick it up.

Red Dead Redemption 2
A prequel to Red Dead Redemption, RDR2 follows the story of the Van der Linde gang and their demise; which coincides with the demise of the Wild West.
A sprawling Western epic, Red Dead Redemption 2 focuses on Arthur Morgan instead of John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best modern games on the market, making it a great value on the PS Plus games roster.

Bloodborne
Before Elden Ring, Bloodborne was the go-to Soulsborne title on PlayStation devices.
Set in a decadent gothic city called Yarnham, with Lovecraftian monsters in every corner and blood as the currency of exchange, Bloodborne has all of the Soulsborne characteristics of games before and after it like the aching difficulty and cryptic messages.
It’s dark and terrifying but an equally rewarding experience.

Assassin’s Creed
The good part about this entry is that you don’t have to choose just one.
Assassin’s Creed has been a prolific franchise since it first began, and most of the recent entries are available on the list of PS Plus games.
You can play Valhall, Black Flag, Unity, Rogue Remastered, Freedom Cry, and The Ezio Collection for the small price of a PlayStation Plus membership.

Shadow of the Colossus
A remake of the iconic PlayStation 2 title from Blueprint Games, Shadow of the Colossus revels in its minimalism.
A young boy named Wander, who rides a horse named Agro, seeks to resurrect a dead girl named Mano with his magical sword.
To resurrect her, he has to journey across this fantastical landscape that is home to 18 colossi and little else.
The lack of exposition leaves the player in awe of this world that could be from the future, a past with no recorded history, or an alternate world. Â
