Riot has finally revealed the 2023 T1 Worlds winner skins for League of Legends, and it looks as awesome as fans expected.
When it comes to League of Legends Worlds, few teams are as iconic in the grand event as South Korea’s T1. There’s no denying the T1 roster throughout the years has fielded legends, but all eyes always land on Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and his record-breaking four wins at Worlds. Since the Hall of Legends Ahri skin for Faker costs a pretty penny, most players likely won’t be able to obtain that one.
Thankfully, the T1 Worlds Skins will be easier to grab, and the previews showcase why players would want to.
Orianna, Jayce, Lee Sin, Jinx, and Bard will get receive Worlds skins celebrating T1’s victory in 2023.
As expected of a special series of skins, they feature new recalls, cosmetics, and references that only avid esports fans are likely to pick up on. For example, every character wears a crown with one star, signifying the team’s Worlds victory. All except for Faker’s skin for Orianna, which boasts four stars to celebrate his fourth win at Worlds.
During one of Jayce’s animations, all the crowns can form the Worlds trophy, a beautiful detail to celebrate the iconic team. Another flex for the T1 team is Lee Sin, who is now on his second T1 Worlds skin, hence the Spider-Man pointing meme reference. Finally, the recalls all show off the T1 logo, so there’s no doubt about who won Worlds 2023. Amusingly, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok managed to get Lux into their recall, the champion they wanted to get a Worlds skin for, but did not win with.
The T1 Worlds 2023 skins will drop in League of Legends on August 14, 2024, alongside patch 14.16.
The official prices haven’t been revealed by Riot just yet, but there is precedent from previous Worlds skin prices. The skins will likely land in the epic category with a cost of 1,350 RP each, barring Prestige skins. With Worlds 2024 inching closer, some fans can’t wait to see who gets Worlds skins next.
