FaZe eliminate Vitality and Furia secure top spot: EPL Group B day 4 recap

FaZe started off the event rough with two loses, despite coming into the event with a win at IEM Katowice. But, they secured their playoff spot with a win over Vitality. The French team must now weigh its options and figure out what the issue is.

What’s next for Vitality?

While some people may blame the event on ZywOo’s average performance, the issue goes deeper than that. The reason dupreeh and Magisk were brought in was so that the team didn’t have to fully rely on ZywOo, like it used to. But, this event showcased that the rest of the team couldn’t pull their weight on their own when it mattered most. The team lost to FaZe in an embarrassing 2-0, with the second map ending 16-2. Hopefully, the team breaks down and resolves their issues before the RMR begins.

Furia reign supreme over Ence to win the group

In a tough best of three, Furia looked like a proper team today. Although both saffee and drop have been slightly inconsistent since joining the roster, they put up a show and were crucial to Furia’s reverse sweep to win 2-1 over Ence. Going forward, if the same dynamic can be kept up in Furia, there’s nothing that’s stopping them with their aggressive playstyle.

Outsiders manage to edge past Sprout

Despite Sprout’s failure to qualify for the event playoffs, they continued to showcase that they are a good team today. While most team typically struggles with YEKINDAR’s aggressive style, Sprout read him like a book on map one, which resulted in them taking the map in OT. Despite him and VP bouncing back on maps two and three, Sprout showcased that they are a good team who just got a little unlucky. Outsider’s will move onto the playoffs of the tournament.
