FaZe Clan got back on track in IEM Dallas with a win over BC.Games Esports, but can the team stave off elimination by beating Heroic?
s1mple’s return to competition against Team Liquid didn’t pan out well. FaZe got a relative softball in its second match and hit it out of the park. In terms of strength of opponent, its third match is between the fringe-top-10 Liquid and the struggling BC.Games.
So what is the betting outlook for FaZe Clan vs Heroic?
The IEM Dallas group stage continues with an elimination match between FaZe Clan and Heroic. The match is set for May 21, 2025. The loser is eliminated from the tournament while the winner advances to the lower bracket finals, which they’ll need to win to secure a playoffs berth.
FaZe Clan looked much sharper in second match in IEM Dallas. While its debut loss to Team Liquid was defined by s1mple looking great en route to a loss, its match against BC.Games saw Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski carry the first map. s1mple showed off his deadly AWP skills with a 39-16 kill line, but it was a roundly strong showing from FaZe.
That’s bad news for Heroic. The team started IEM Dallas with an upset victory over Aurora Gaming but suffered a tough loss to Team Falcons, with a hard-fought overtime won being undone by Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov playmaking. Though Heroic is no slouch, it’s got a tough draw against what might be a rapidly gelling foe.
s1mple’s debut with FaZe Clan was a loss to his former team, Team Liquid, but the team rebounded by defeating BC.Games Esports to advance in the group stage:
FaZe Clan added s1mple to its roster ahead of IEM Dallas, though he is only on loan to the team and remains under contract with NaVi:
FaZe Clan plays on all seven maps, and bucks the general approach to consistently banning a single map. In 2025, FaZe is close to even on most maps, with its best map being Nuke where the team is 8-5.
Heroic’s IEM Dallas started with a win over Aurora Gaming and was followed by a loss to Falcons. Before this, the team won MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025.
Heroic rebooted its roster in January 2025 after Heroic poached its core, leading to a new patchwork roster with no Danish players:
Heroic has a solid record on most maps, with a 66% win rate or better on Anubis, Dust 2, and Mirage in 2025. It still has a winning record on Ancient and Nuke, but is off to a 3-4 start on Train. The team bans Inferno.
FaZe Clan has not yet played against the new Heroic roster. While the teams have competed in some of the same events in 2025, the last time the organizations crossed paths was in the Shanghai Major’s group stage. Heroic has a brand new roster since then, and FaZe has been shaken up a few times too.
FaZe Clan is a narrow favorite against Heroic, with moneylines close to coinflip territory at 1.77 against 2.00. That makes for some decent returns for both straightforward and risky bets.
FaZe Clan should be able to get the win over Heroic to stay alive in IEM Dallas. There’s a long road ahead for FaZe regardless, but the team has shown enough to get the nod here. A Heroic upset is possible, but it would still be an upset.
