Fans worry Twisty Amanozako hiatus may hint at graduation

Twisty Amanozako terminated

The vtuber Twisty Amanozako has announced an indefinite hiatus and some fans worry an eventual graduation from Nijisanji is imminent.

The vtuber industry’s explosive growth hasn’t been without problems. One of the biggest vtuber agencies, Nijisanji, has experienced its fair share of controversies in 2024. The most recent controversy concerns the sexual harassment allegations against the vtuber Aster Arcadia. Upset fans claim that the Nijisanji management knew about the alleged harassment but did not take action.

While the victims and leaker of the allegations are unnamed, fans have speculated on who the victim in the case may be. Some fans believe that Twisty Amanozako is the unnamed alleged victim of Aster Arcadia. Now, some fans believe her hiatus from the company is, in fact, her graduation announcement.

Twisty Amanozako has entered an indefinite hiatus

The vtuber Twisty Amanozako announced her hiatus on social media. The announcement came on Twitter, where the talent shared she would not be streaming or posting on social media indefinitely. Critics of Nijisanji believe the sudden hiatus may have come from the recent investigations by Nijisanji.

Once the accusations against Aster Arcadia went viral, Nijisanji announced its investigation. The company stated it would look into the validity of the claims and who leaked the information to the public. Fans started speculating that Nijisanji would punish the leaker for revealing sensitive information about the company.

Fans speculate Twisty was the leaker who spoke with FalseEyeD in his recent videos, though no official party has confirmed this. Given the nature of the allegations, anonymity protects the talent from potential hate. Even so, fans still found ways to tie Twisty to the alleged victim.

A transcript of alleged leaked messages that the victim sent stated that Aster was inappropriate with her. The messages also stated that Nijisanji didn’t take any action against the accused. Fans also noticed Twisty’s past life became active on Twitter/X. Vtubers who suddenly return to abandoned personas historically have a likelihood of graduating.

Such was the case with Selent Tatsuki when she returned to her Dokibird persona. The same also happened with the recent surge of content in Ceres Fauna’s past life, weeks before her official graduation announcement. Although Twisty hasn’t stated the reason for her hiatus, she said it’ll be indefinite.

Fans claim the vtuber plans to return to her past life. This way, not only can the creator continue to create content as a vtuber, but she’ll also be independent. Many believe if Twisty doesn’t ask for a graduation on her own accord, Nijisanji will terminate her regardless. The hiatus could mean Twisty and Anycolor management is attempting to find a resolution together.

Twisty and Nijisanji have not clarified the reasons for the hiatus.
