BLAST Rivals Spring will bring together many of the best teams in Counter-Strike and two of them, FaZe Clan and Team Falcons, are set to face off on day one of the event.
Team Falcons went back for seconds on G2 Esports’ roster by adding Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov. While changing a roster when it was just starting to gel raised eyebrows, the early outlook on this new Falcons is very strong.
So what is its outlook against FaZe Clan for this match in BLAST Rivals Spring? And what’s the best way to bet on this match? We break it down.
Team Falcons and FaZe Clan will start the group stage of BLAST Rivals Spring with a best-of-three match against each other. The match is set for April 30, 2025. The winner will play a seeding match to determine where they start in the playoffs. The loser will play an elimination match against the loser of Team Spirit vs FlyQuest.
FaZe Clan has been inconsistent throughout 2025 to this point. The team has been able to post strong results, like third in PGL Bucharest, but it hasn’t sniffed a grand final and has a few group stage stumbles to its name, too.
This came after Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski was added to the FaZe Clan roster:
FaZe’s best map is Ancient, where it has a 9-5 record in 2025. It’s not particularly good or bad anywhere else though, albeit with a slightly winning record on Dust 2 and Nuke.
Team Falcons may have finally bought itself a good team. The “pay-to-lose” organization has famously struggled to perform at a high level in Counter-Strike despite routinely signing the biggest free agents available. The team won PGL Bucharest and got very close to defeating Team Vitality to win IEM Melbourne.
The new Team Falcons roster includes these players:
In 2025, Falcons has a winning record on Mirage, Dust 2, Nuke, and Ancient, while losing a majority of its matches on Train and Inferno. The team instantly bans Anubis. The full impact of m0NESY on the team is still unknown, but the early outlook is that the team is at least moderately better with him. Maybe more.
FaZe Clan and Team Falcons have played twice in 2025, both of which were wins for Falcons. These matches came at PGL Cluj-Napoca and PGL Bucharest. FaZe has not yet played Falcons since the addition of m0NESY.
Falcons is a decisive favorite over FaZe Clan in this BLAST Rivals Spring group stage match, but not a prohibitive one. The money lines stand at 1.4 against 2.93. Though bookies clearly believe in Falcons, they don’t think m0NESY’s joining the roster is that big a deal yet.
Team Falcons should be able to take a decisive victory over FaZe Clan. Falcons was beating FaZe Clan even before m0NESY and the team looks to be even better now. It’s not recommended to buy into Falcons over the likes of Team Vitality or Team Spirit quite yet. FaZe just isn’t at that level right now, though.
