Falcons may sign Heroic trio in top CS2 player sale

Falcons Heroic

Reports suggest Team Falcons is in active negotiations to acquire current Heroic CS2 players Abdul “degster” Gasanov, Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, and Rene “TeSeS” Madsen.

Saudi Arabian side Team Falcons was founded in 2017 and has rosters across multiple esports. The organization is infamous for attempting to sign high-profile players and coaches, even if they’re already contracted by other teams. The list of all the players signed in this way is too long to list. Emil “Magisk” Reif and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer are two prominent CS2 players already associated with Team Falcon.

Fans have been waiting for some time to see the roster for Team Falcons in CS2 for 2025. Multiple reports surfaced of different players like Nikola “NiKo” Kovač being alleged to soon join the Saudi team. Now, there are reports that Falcons is looking to acquire a Heroic trio of players.

Insider claims Falcons in talks with Heroic

A CS2 insider reported that after considering its options, Team Falcons is trying to acquire the Heroic trio of degster, kyxsan, and TeSeS.

Falcons reportedly tried to recruit various players during the offseason but were largely unsuccessful. Apparently, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo were approached but chose not to sign with Team Falcons.

Falcons Heroic

The Saudi team faced big demands from organizations to let these players go. Some players may have outright refused to join Team Falcons. These refusals caused a significant delay for the Saudi team in creating a roster for the new year.

According to industry insider Guillaume “neL” Rathier, Team Falcons is close to acquiring three players from Heroic as a solution. The discussions have advanced to the final stages and it’s alleged that Team Falcons is now discussing contract details with these players.

Team Heroic’s Guy “NertZ” Iluz is reportedly joining Team Liquid. If all of these players leave, Rifler Rasmus “sjuush” Beck and coach Eetu “sAw” Saha will be the only remaining members of Team Heroic CS2 for 2025. These transfers would apparently bring Heroic’s transfer total to $10 million for 2024, a rich haul for the organization.

It’s worth noting that if the Heroic players sign with Falcons, the Saudi team will take over Heroic’s Valve Ranking Points. This will allow Team Falcons to compete in bigger tournaments in 2025. It’s unknown if the team would capitalize on this opportunity. But if they do, fans may see a lot more of Team Falcons in 2025.
