The roster for South Korea’s League of Legends team at the Asian Games 2026 has been revealed. With a few surprises, the participants are:
These players will represent South Korea at the Asian Games in September 2026 in Aichi, Japan.
Team Korea’s roster is mostly made up of current and former T1 players. In fact, they’re only missing Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun to reunite the famous “ZOFGK” line-up. Then, joining those four are Canyon from Gen.G, and Zeka from Hanwha Life Esports.
In 2022, Team Korea won the Asian Games without losing a single game, while having three of the six players selected for 2026. The Korea eSports Association (KeSPA) made this team with a series of criteria in mind.
KeSPA looked at results from the LCK, World Championships, and KeSPA Cups between 2024 and 2026. The other international tournaments weren’t considered.
Then, they sorted their list of candidates based on the following metrics:
General individual metrics:
Team metrics:
Jungle metrics:

Gen.G’s mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon was part of the winning roster of the 2022 Asian Games. However, the association didn’t pick him for the 2026 roster. KeSPA explained that “some individuals subject to mandatory service were excluded from the list of candidates due to injury treatment and the faithful fulfillment of their mandatory service.”
Chovy reportedly opted out of the roster due to a hip injury. While KeSPA gave no exact reasoning regarding going without Oner or Kim “Kiin” Gi-in, the second part of the statement could include them.
Winning the gold medal is first and foremost a token of glory, but it also gives the decorated players an exemption from their mandatory military service. This means that the competition can also allow them to extend their esports career.
